I have always loved art and come from a family of crafters and makers. I pursued nursing after high school, but my love for art never faded and eventually I went to college to study art. Most of what I do now is self taught exploration.
I am a multidisciplinary artist. From embroidery, to painting, to book arts, I do it all. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Choosing a medium for a piece is never random; it's always intentional.
Most days you will find me hunting for inspiration and ideas in the woods, dyeing fabrics and befriending the crows in my yard, or hiding in my basement making art. But you can also find me teaching classes, in galleries, or pitching tents.
