Happy Monday, folks.
I’m here to show you my new little nook today.
Nook? Yeah, I know. Last time we talked I had a grand drawing of my dream work space. Well, that’s changed a bit. Sick of looking at all of my junk taking up such valuable space in our living room (and frankly, too antsy to wait for a custom table) I opted to scrap my original plan and take up space in our closet.
We have the luxury of having a 6.5 x 4 ft storage closet just off our living room.
Sounded like the perfect dimensions for a little office.
To date, it had housed extra kitchen supplies, our DVD collection, jars, tools, and random other junk. Nothing that couldn’t be moved, worked around or relocated to our double garage.
Luckily, my manic self was present that week and with the kids at school I undertook the task of emptying out not just the closet, but the art space too. I know, I know. A smarter person would have rehoused all the closet stuff first, but that’s not me. And in my defense, much of the stuff went to live in the closets previously storing my art supplies.
So I did some cleaning, hung some peg board…

It’s not quite done. I still need to find good seating and fix the lighting situation. Ideally, I’d like to paint the pegboard to add some color and really make it “cute”.
It’s a good start though and so nice to have some PRIVATE space free of kids and no pressure to keep clean incase of guests.
And the best part? Brian’s hella jealous. Blows his garage with camping chair set up out of the water.
